On 9–10 September, Lviv hosted the International Practical Forum “PIGS FARMING INDUSTRY 2026: Challenges. Risks. Changes. Solutions”, bringing together swine producers, industry experts, researchers and representatives of leading companies in the livestock sector.

The Forum’s professional programme focused on the key challenges shaping modern swine production, including herd health, biosecurity, production efficiency, reproductive performance and the need to adapt farm management systems to a rapidly changing industry environment.

BIOTESTLAB and its SUIMUN swine vaccine brand participated as official partners of the Forum, presenting an integrated approach to animal health that combines preventive veterinary medicine, infectious disease control and biosecurity technologies for commercial swine production.

Autogenous Vaccines as a Targeted Approach to Infectious Disease Control

One of the key scientific topics presented by BIOTESTLAB was the use of SUIMUN AUTOVAC autogenous vaccines in tailored infectious disease control programmes for swine farms.

Nataliia Pinchuk, Head of Immunobiological Product Development at BIOTESTLAB, delivered the presentation “When Standard Solutions Are Not Enough: Autogenous Vaccines for Infectious Disease Control in Swine Production.”

The presentation highlighted the role of autogenous vaccines in modern herd health programmes and their practical value in situations where infectious disease challenges require a targeted approach adapted to the specific epidemiological situation on a farm.

The development of autogenous vaccines is part of BIOTESTLAB’s integrated approach to working with commercial livestock and poultry enterprises. This approach combines preventive strategies, scientific and diagnostic expertise, and manufacturing capabilities that enable the production of autogenous vaccines in a format designed to meet the needs of the commercial sector.

Minitube Reproductive Technologies

Another important focus of the Forum was advanced reproductive management.

At a dedicated stand, TRADE HOUSE BIOTESTLAB, the official distributor of Minitube in Ukraine, presented technologies and equipment for artificial insemination, semen quality assessment and modern reproductive management.

Julia Pable, Product Manager at Minitube, presented the capabilities of AndroVision®, a computer-assisted system for comprehensive semen quality assessment, and shared practical experience of its use at artificial insemination centres.

The practical demonstration conducted by Petro Dumanchuk, Minitube Brand Manager in Ukraine, attracted particular attention from Forum participants. It generated strong interest and gave specialists an opportunity to evaluate the solutions in practice, including the AndroScope mobile semen analysis system, an ultrasound system, and the PrimeFit, ProFit and EcoFit ranges of artificial insemination catheters for swine.

An Integrated Approach to Herd Health

Throughout the Forum, the stands of BIOTESTLAB and TRADE HOUSE BIOTESTLAB / Minitube served as platforms for professional dialogue with swine producers and veterinary specialists.

Experts discussed vaccination programmes, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, biosecurity and practical approaches to herd health management.

BIOTESTLAB specialists also presented the company’s portfolio of solutions for swine production, including the recently introduced antibacterial products FLOSIDEX and SPECTOLIN, which expand the range of tools available to veterinary professionals for managing complex bacterial infections.

Participation in PIGS FARMING INDUSTRY 2026 reflects BIOTESTLAB’s continued engagement with the professional swine industry.

By combining scientific and manufacturing expertise, the company continues to expand producers’ access to modern veterinary solutions and technologies in both domestic and international markets.
