Composition 

1 ml of the drug contains active substance: 

Oxytetracycline (as Oxytetracycline dihydrate) – 200 mg.

Pharmacological properties 

OTC-200 L.A. is a long-acting antibiotic, containing oxytetracycline as an active substance. Oxytetracycline is an antibiotic of Tetracyclines group. It acts bacteriostatically. Oxytetracycline has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action against most Gram-positive and Gramnegative pathogens, as well as against Mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma spp.), 

Spirochaeta spp., Rickettsia spp. and Chlamydia.  

Administration 

Cattle: treatment of animals suffering from pasteurellosis, actinobacillosis, pneumonia, pleurisy, hoof rot, abscesses, keratoconjunctivitis, wound infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline. 

Sheep, goats: treatment of animals suffering from pneumonia, peritonitis, hoof rot, mastitis, metritis, purulent arthritis, abscesses, wound infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline. 

Pigs: treatment of animals suffering from pasteurellosis, pneumonia, pleurisy, MMA syndrome, purulent arthritis, atrophic rhinitis, erysipelas, abscesses, wound infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline. 

Rabbits: treatment of animals suffering from pasteurellosis caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline.

Method of administration and dosage

Cattle: intramuscularly at a dose of 1 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight once (20 mg of active ingredient per 1 kg of animal body weight), if necessary, repeat after 72 hours. 

When used in piglets weighing less than 10 kg, the drug should be administered subcutaneously, and the maximum single dose is 1 ml of the drug per animal. 

For lambs being treated for necrobacteriosis or rickettsiosis, the drug is administered at a dose of 2 ml per animal once.

Rabbits: subcutaneously at a dose of 0.25 ml of the drug per 1 kg of body weight (equivalent to 50 mg of oxytetracycline per 1 kg of body weight), once. 

If the injection dose exceeds 20 ml for cattle, 10 ml for pigs, or 5 ml for sheep and goats, it should be divided and administered in two different places.

 Withdrawal period

 Meat – 21 days, milk for human consumption – in 7 days after the last treatment.

Shelf life 

24 months. After first vial opening: 28 days if stored in dark place at 5° to 25°С.  

Storage conditions 

Store in dark place, out of the reach of children at 5° to 25°С.
