Composition

1 ml of preparation contains active substance Enrofloxacin – 50 mg;

Additional ingredients: potassium hydroxide, sodium edetate, benzyl alcohol, glycerin, water for injections/

Pharmacological properties

Enrofloxacin is a chemotherapeutic preparation belonging to the group of fluoroquinolones (derivative quinolone-carboxylic acid) of 2nd generate Enrofloxacin inhibits the synthesis of DNA in the nuclei of cells of microorganisms, has a bactericidal action against Gram-positive e and Gram-negative organisms (Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus spp., Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp., Acti spp., Brucella spp., Bordetella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella spp., etc.), and is also active against mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma spp.) and chlamydia (Chlamydia spp.).

Administration

Calves: treatment of animals with diseases of the respiratory organs and digestive tract (pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis, colibacteriosis) caused by microorganisms (E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Mycoplasma bovis) sensitive to enrofloxacin.

Swine: treatment of animals suffering from septicemia (caused by Escherichia coli), as well as diseases of the respiratory organs and digestive tract caused by microorganisms (Haemophilus spp., Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae) sensitive to enrofloxacin.

Dogs: treatment of animals with diseases of the digestive tract, respiratory organs and genitourinary system, as well as with skin diseases and wound infections caused by microorganisms (E. coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp., Staphylococcus spp.), sensitive to enrofloxacin.

Routes of administration and dosages 

The drug is administered in the following doses:

- calves - subcutaneously at a dose of 0.5 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight once a day;

- pigs - intramuscularly at a dose of 0.5 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight once a day;

- dogs - intramuscularly at a dose of 1 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight once a day;.

The course of treatment is 3-5 days, in severe cases - up to 10 days.

If the dose exceeds 5 ml for calves and 2.5 ml for pigs, it must be divided and administered in different areas.

Withdrawal period

Meat – in 12 days (calves) and 13 days (swine) after the last treatment. Meat received before this ti should be disposed or fed to non-productive animals, depending on conclusion of veterinarian.

Self life

24 months. After first opening – 28 days if kept in dark place at +5 to +25° С.

Storage conditions

Store in dry, dark places, out of the reach of children, at +5 to +25° С.
