CRYSTAL EYES
Composition:
1 mL of the product contains the following active ingredients:
chlorhexidine digluconate – 0.15 mg;
taurine – 20 mg;
glycerin – 10 mg;
succinic acid – 1 mg.
Excipient: water for injection.
Pharmacological properties:
The preparation contains chlorhexidine bigluconate, taurine, glycerin, and succinic acid. “Crystal View” eye drops have bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, and anti-edematous properties. When instilled into the conjunctival sac, the preparation easily penetrates all eye tissues, ensuring a sustained therapeutic level of active ingredients.
Chlorhexidine exerts a rapid bactericidal effect on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, dermatophytes, and lipophilic viruses. As a result of the dissociation of chlorhexidine salts, the resulting cations bind to the walls of bacterial cells. This disrupts the osmotic balance and membrane function of the cells, leading to a decrease in cellular ATP levels and the death of the microorganism.
Taurine protects the retina from damage, improves photoreceptor function, stabilizes cell membranes, and enhances nerve conduction in the optic nerve.
Glycerin effectively moisturizes the conjunctiva of the eye.
Succinic acid normalizes redox processes, has a reparative effect, reduces inflammation, slows the development of cataracts, and prevents degenerative and dystrophic disorders in the retina and lens.
Indications for use
For dogs and cats for daily eye hygiene (removal of dried exudate from the corners of the eyes). Also, to reduce pigmentation caused by tear staining, wipe the area around the eyes daily.
Dosage and Administration
For daily eye care and in cases of mild conjunctivitis, use a sterile gauze swab moistened with the product to remove exudate and crusts from the inner corner of the animal’s eye, after which instill 1 drop of the product into the conjunctival sac for cats and dogs weighing up to 10 kg, and 2 drops for dogs weighing over 10 kg. Treatment is performed 1–3 times a day, as needed, at 5–10-day intervals:
• when treating the eyes once a day, the medication is used for no more than 45 days, followed by a 10-day break;
• when treating the eyes twice a day, the product is used for no more than 20 days, followed by a 7-day break;
• when treating the eyes three times a day, the product is used for no more than 14 days, followed by a 5-day break.
In cases of excessive tearing, redness, trauma, or the entry of foreign objects or irritants, instill 1–2 drops 3 times a day for 5–14 days.
For the prevention of cataracts and age-related degenerative changes in the retina and cornea, the medication is administered 1–2 drops twice daily in 20-day courses with a 10-day interval.
