Composition
0.1 ml (ml) of the vaccine contains:
Active substances:
inactivated antigen of the Newcastle disease virus strain LaSota, inducing the formation of specific antibodies in titers ≥ 4.5 log2 HI*;
* HI – antibody titer determined in the hemagglutination inhibition reaction.
Excipients:
Inactivator – formaldehyde ≤ 50 mcg or binary ethyleneimine (is not a component of the final product).
Adjuvant – light liquid paraffin.
Preservative – thiomersal ≤ 10 mcg.
Pharmaceutical form
Emulsion.
Immunological properties
The vaccine stimulates the development of specific immunity in birds against Newcastle disease starting on the 14th day after administration. It does not have therapeutic effects.
Animal species
Poultry (chickens and pigeons).
Indications
For preventive immunization of poultry against Newcastle Disease.
Route of administration and dosage
The vaccine is administered to birds intramuscularly in the thigh or pectoral muscles, or subcutaneously in the neck area, starting from one day of age.
Recommended dose for chickens of different ages:
- 1-70 days of life – 0.1-0.2 ml;
- over 70 days – 0.2-0.3 ml.
The recommended immunizing dose for pigeons is 0.2 ml, starting from 28 days of age.
Withdrawal period
0 days.
Shelf life
24 months. Vaccine should be used within 10 hours after the first withdrawal from the vial.
Storage conditions
Store vaccine in dark places, out of the reach of children, at 2 to 8° C. Do not freeze!
