Additional ingredients.

Pharmacological properties

Enrofloxacin is a chemotherapeutic preparation belonging to the group of fluoroquinolones (derivative quinolone-carboxylic acid). Enrofloxacin shows antimicrobial activity by inhibiting enzyme activity of DNA gyrase, which is a major catalyst for replication of DNA in bacterial cell. Inhibiti of DNA gyrase activity leads to functional disorders, blocking biosynthesis in cell and destruction of pathogen. The result is a rapid bactericidal effect, particularly against microorganisms resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics, tetracyclines, aminoglycosides and macrolides.

Enrofloxacin is effective against different types of microorganisms: Mycoplasma spp., E. coli, Salmonella spp., Campylobacter spp., Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Bordetella spp., Klebsiella spp., Streptococcus spp., Enterococcus spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Proteus spp., Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Staphylococcus aureus.
