Composition

1 ml of the drug contain active substance:

Enrofloxacin – 100 mg.

Excipients: Benzyl alcohol, butylhydroxytoluene, butyl hydroxyanisole, propylene glycol dicaprylate /dicaprat.

Pharmacological properties

Enrofloxacin belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones, it inhibits DNA synthesis in cells of microorganisms. The drug has a high bactericidal effect against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacteriaceae spp., Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp., Actinobacillus spp., Brucella spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp. etc.), as well as against Mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma spp.) and Chlamydia spp.

Administration

Cattle: treatment of animals with respiratory diseases caused by Mannheimia haemolytica, Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus somni, Mycoplasma spp., and other pathogens sensitive to enrofloxacin.

Pigs: treatment of animals suffering from mastitis-metritis-agalactia syndrome, as well as respiratory diseases caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Haemophilus somni, Streptococcus suis, Bordetella bronchiseptica, sensitive to enrofloxacin.

Route of administration and dosage

Cattle: subcutaneously once, at a dose of 7.5 ml per 100 kg of animal weight (7.5 mg of enrofloxacin per 1 kg of animal weight).

Pigs: intramuscularly in a single dose of 7.5 ml per 100 kg of animal weight (7.5 mg of enrofloxacin per 1 kg of animal weight).

No more than 15 ml for cattle and 5 ml for pigs may be injected into one injection site.

Withdrawal period

Meat: in 14 days (cattle) and 5 days (pigs) after the last treatment. Milk for human consumption: in 4 days after the last treatment. Meat and milk received before this time should be disposed or fed to non-productive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.

Presentation

Vials of dark glass closed with a rubber stopper and aluminium cap of 100.0 ml.

Storage conditions

Store in a dark place, out of the reach of children at 5° to 25°С. Do not freeze!

Shelf life 

24 months. After the first vial opening – 28 days if kept in dry dark place at 5° to 25°С.
