Ukrainian manufacturer of veterinary drugs BIOTESTLAB has launched the first scholarship program for students who link their future with developing Ukainian veterinary bio- and pharmaceutical technologies. The National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine partnered with the program. The amount of the special monthly scholarship will be from 2000 to 5000 UAH.
At the final stage of selection, scholarship applicants, fifth- and sixth-year students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, took part in a competition of scientific papers. The competition committee, which included representatives of the university and the company's research department, assessed the depth of coverage of research topics, as well as the students’ academic achievements, abilities, and motivation for professional growth.
The winners of the competition and the first scholarship recipients of the program were:
• Sergii Martsenyuk – 1st place;
• Darya Kozub – 2nd place;
• Sofia Klymenko – 3rd place.
Sergii Semenov noted that the scholarship will be paid monthly during the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year: "The scholarship program is a great platform for introducing students to business and vice versa. Future young professionals must have the desire and opportunity to realize themselves in Ukraine. Modern learning conditions, financial motivation, and internships are the support businesses should provide to encourage talented youth. We are moving in this direction. Next year, we plan to allocate more than 100 thousand UAH for scholarships and other forms of support for students of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine".
The program will run continuously. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the results of a competition among senior students of budgetary and contractual forms of education at the end of each semester.
Let us remind you: in anticipation of the start of the 2024/2025 academic year, BIOTESTLAB opened a Wi-Fi zone with free access to high-speed Internet in the lobby and conference room of the main building of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
