The founders and top managers of member companies of the Ukrainian Association of Manufacturers and Distributors of Veterinary Drugs and Feed Additives (Vetpromspilka) visited the BIOTESTLAB research-and-production complex on February 13. The meeting took place as part of the regular general meeting of the industry Association.
BIOTESTLAB founder Yurii Sobko and CEO Oleg Hrodzevich told the guests about the company's business transformation, innovative components, and challenges in Ukrainian and international markets.
“The company is currently at the stage of scaling up its business, transforming from a local brand into an international one. The result is the creation of a powerful complex for the development and production of immunobiological and chemical-pharmaceutical drugs, unique for Ukraine, which is not inferior to European ones. This is the contribution we make to the development of domestic veterinary medicine and at the same time to the development of the innovative ecosystem of Ukraine, promoting its sustainable development”, – Yurii Sobko emphasized.
During the tour, guests were shown the production processes of vaccines, drugs, disinfectants, and new equipment, as well as a specialized multi-temperature warehouse. Great interest was aroused by the latest ventilation and air conditioning systems, water treatment, wastewater treatment, energy supply, etc. In addition, the guests visited the laboratories, assessing the effectiveness of the multi-stage quality control system – from raw materials to finished products.
“Of the 14,5 thousand square meters of the research and production complex, 5,5 thousand square meters are allocated for production, of which 3,1 thousand square meters are clean zones, including local class A zones. Everything was designed and implemented taking into account the latest requirements of the European GMP standard for the production of sterile medicinal products”, – noted Oleg Hrodzevich.

The visit continued with a general meeting of the Association. The participants summarized the results of the Association’s work over the past year, determined the areas of activity in 2025, approved the budget, and considered other issues.
At the end of the general meeting, the participants elected a new Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, unanimously supporting the candidacy of Yurii Sobko.
The Ukrainian Association of Manufacturers and Distributors of Veterinary Drugs and Feed Additives unites 9 companies producing more than 600 types of veterinary drugs (55% chemical-pharmaceutical drugs and 30% immunobiological drugs, registered in Ukraine) and 100 types of feed products.
