The Ukrainian manufacturer of veterinary drugs BioTestLab has entered another export market. The company has started supplying products to Lebanon.
Lebanon is a country in the Middle East, located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean. The population is almost 6.8 million people. Despite the small territory and mountainous terrain, poultry, cattle and small ruminants are breeding in this country.
The first batch of Polimun vaccines arrived by plane at the Beirut airport, the country's capital. After passing through customs procedures, the products were sent to the distributor's warehouse and then delivered to the first customers.
To date, BioTestLab has registered 9 vaccines for poultry in Lebanon: Polimun AE+POX, Polimun IB H-120, Polimun IB multi, Polimun IBD, Polimun IBD+, Polimun La-Sota, Polimun ND Clon 124, Polimun ND Clon 124+IB H120, Polimun ND+IB+EDS.
Olena Saliy, General Director of BioTestLab Ltd: “We expect that the successful sale of the first batch of vaccines will allow us to establish a mutually beneficial partnership with the distributor and with Lebanese agricultural producers who are interested in obtaining high-quality veterinary products. We started with vaccines of Polimun line. We also plan to register and supply chemical-and-pharmaceutical products, disinfectants”.
Working in MENA countries (the Middle East and North Africa) is one of the strategic goals of BioTestLab export business development.
Olena Saliy: “The region is characterized by a high level of consumption and production of poultry meat. Our products are already presented and available in Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the process of negotiations with distributors and registration of drugs in other countries of the region has been somewhat delayed, but in the near future we will open new markets for Ukrainian veterinary products”.
BioTestLab Company carried out the first delivery of vaccines abroad in 2015. Today, the company's products are available in more than 20 countries around the world.
