At Agro & Poultry Africa 2026, held in Nairobi on August 20–22, the BIOTESTLAB team met with poultry and animal health professionals, customers and partners to discuss market needs and further opportunities for cooperation across the region.

Expanding the POLIMUN Portfolio in Kenya

Kenya is an important new market for BIOTESTLAB in East Africa. The company has registered nine POLIMUN poultry vaccines targeting major infectious diseases, including Newcastle disease, Avian infectious bronchitis, Infectious bursal disease (Gumboro disease) and Fowl pox. The first commercial shipment has already been delivered to BIOTESTLAB’s local distributor, TWIGA CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES.

BIOTESTLAB and the TWIGA team participated in the exhibition together, meeting local industry professionals, discussing customer support and defining the next steps for developing the POLIMUN portfolio in Kenya.

Developing Cooperation in Zambia

The exhibition also provided an opportunity to meet with BIOTESTLAB’s partner in Zambia, Vetaviana Services. BIOTESTLAB has already completed its first shipment to Zambia. During the meeting, the teams reviewed the first stage of cooperation and discussed strategic priorities for 2027, including further development of the company’s presence and poultry portfolio in the country.

A Long-Term Approach to Africa

BIOTESTLAB considers African markets an important part of its international development strategy. The company’s approach is based on strong local partnerships, regulatory readiness, professional customer support and gradual portfolio expansion in line with market needs.

“For us, expansion in Africa is not simply about entering another market or completing a first shipment. Sustainable development starts with a reliable local partner, a clear understanding of customer needs and consistent professional support. Kenya and Zambia are important steps in our long-term strategy for the region, and our priority is to build partnerships that grow together with the local animal health industry,” said Andrii Sobko, Business Development Director at BIOTESTLAB.

BIOTESTLAB thanks TWIGA CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, Vetaviana Services and all industry professionals who met with the team in Nairobi for productive discussions and continued cooperation.
