Routeof administration and dosage

To identify optimal vaccination time blood serum samples from 18-20 chicks 1-4 days old should be sent to specialized laboratory to test for level of maternal antibodies by ELISA method. Chicks are vaccinated and, if necessary, revaccinated with consideration of serological testing results (target titer 1000 with IDEXX). It is recommended to access average amount of water in ml consumed by one bird during 1-1,5 hours one day before vaccination. On a vaccination day vaccine should be diluted in such manner, that every previously identified volume of water for consumption would contain one dose of vaccine per bird. Vaccine is dissolved in clean, boiled water of room temperature, which should not contain ions of chlorine and iron, antibiotics or disinfectants. Drinking nipples should be thoroughly washed without use of disinfecting solutions. For best quality of vaccination it is recommended to use product for water preparation for immunization “INDIGO MAX” or alike.
